Hailed as a 鈥渇ascinating journey with music of timeless beauty鈥�, Trio Medi忙val鈥檚 highly acclaimed first disc 鈥淲ords of the Angel鈥� (2001) launched the group into the elite circles of early music ensembles and introduced them to a broad international audience A typical Trio Medi忙val programme combines their many varied strands of musical exploration: historically informed performance of medieval sacred music, folk music (adapted and arranged by members of the group); contemporary Nordic jazz; specially commissioned works; improvisation with or without instruments.</p><p>Trio Medi忙val has toured extensively in Europe and USA, and has visited Japan, Hong Kong, Macau, South Korea, and Australia. The group has performed in a variety of venues and has been invited to appear on the most prestigious stages in the world, including Wigmore Hall, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Vienna Konzerthaus, Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. Enter Galen Gray, flying in on his hot air balloon in the middle of a tornado. His arrival and care for the good people of Gray, Indiana initially seems providential given their shared name.</p><p>But when a mysterious plague begins to spread, the townspeople's trust in the newcomer splinters, threatening violence.
